Annonce It is already clear the European Commission wishes to support the development of ICT tools for Health in FP7. At present, the STEP (Strategy Towards the EuroPhysiome) consortium is writing a Roadmap for the Virtual Physiological Human, whose purpose is to serve as a basis for calls in FP7 in this field. The delivery date for the Roadmap is set for the end of March 2007, which is also the end of the STEP project, per se. The second (and last) conference towards this goal was held in Brussels Nov. 5-7, and several members of the GdR STIC-Santé have been closely involved. The GdR STIC-Santé would like to optimize input from all stakeholders of the French research/health/ and industrial communities to this important effort during the final phase of the Roadmap writing. To this end, the Journée Thématique (JT) proposed here will present the current draft of the VPH Roadmap and hear statements by key players from Brussels as well as from various interested parties in France, i.e., INSERM, CNRS (both STIC and SdV), ANR, INRIA, industry (pharma?, HPC, ...),... Since a one-day JT is clearly insufficient to develop the discussion and to debate relevant issues, we propose a related Action, "Groupe de Réflexion sur le VPH", to be launched immediately following the JT and to meet two or three times over the following three months in order to formulate suggestions for the VPH Roadmap. Programme Provisional Program for the Journée d'Information VPH NB: We recommend that all participants download the latest public draft of the Roadmap from http://www.biomedtown.org (titles, times, and participation to be confirmed by the speakers) 14h00 Brief explanation of the Physiome, and Summary of the current Roadmap draft, chapter by chapter, and weak points that need work - (R. Thomas or another member of the STEP consortium) | |||||||||
